David O'Neil

As the CEO, David is responsible for the overall administration and financial management of the Food Bank. He focuses on ensuring that the organization is fiscally responsible in all its activities and programming to ensure all dollars are used in the most efficient way. David creates a culture of growth and sustainability to make the Food Bank a resource for the community for years to come. Success is a driving force for David, and he instills that in the entire Food Bank team.

With a 40-year career in the banking sector at Wells Fargo, David brings a high degree of experience in financial administration and leadership to the Food Bank. Notable prior positions include President of Midland/Odessa, Regional President for the South Texas Region (covering Bryan/College Station, Texarkana, Beaumont, and various smaller communities throughout southeast Texas), and Regional President of Central Texas (covering Austin, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Bryan/College Station, Waco, and the Rio Grande Valley. Despite a career with high responsibility, he served the community in various capacities, including being the President of the Wichita County Heritage Society during the restoration of the Holt Hotel, Board Chair for the Chambers of Commerce in Midland and Bryan/College Station, Austin Habitat for Humanity, North Texas United Way, Chair of the Brazos Valley Community Foundation, Campaign Chair for the United Way of Midland, where he contributed to the successful fundraising of a record-breaking $3.1 million, and many others.

David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Midwestern State University and is a proud graduate of Wichita Falls High School. He continues to focus on enhancing operational efficiencies and increasing community awareness, serving as a vital bridge between hunger and hope by providing nourishment to neighbors in need.
