Warehouse Associate

  • The Warehouse Associate will accurately and thoroughly fulfill inventory order requests according to established guidelines and the appropriate “pick” sheet.

  • Utilize conscientious and safe handling of all warehouse material handling equipment including pallet jacks, hand dollies and forklift in order to avoid personal injury to self, others and damage to product, equipment or facility.

  • Remain knowledgeable of current inventory and inventory levels.  Performs monthly inventory count, as instructed, by physically counting and accurately recording product quantity and type, notifying manager immediately of discrepancies or problems.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area at all times including warehouse, grounds, bins and equipment; cleans up spills immediately; keeps walk areas and exits clear; locks and secures equipment and facility as required; notifies manager of problems or needed repairs immediately.

  • Demonstrates professionalism and speaks respectfully when interacting with staff, volunteers and the general public.

  • May perform other duties as assigned such as but not limited to pest control, furniture moving, helping with deliveries, etc.

CDL Driver

The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is looking for experienced CDL drivers who are looking for long-term work with a consistent route and schedule. Driver will provide safe transport of various perishable and non-perishable food to those in need. A caring heart is a must. May also provide support in other areas as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely drive a box truck.

  • Desire and ability to work alongside co-workers and volunteers in a giving,

friendly,
positive way in order to achieve the association's goals and objectives.

  • Safely ensuring the complete and physical safety of one's self and one's co-workers at all times without exception.

  • Able to lift 50Lbs

  • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, pushing, and climbing.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wichita Falls, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • CDL Driving: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Class A or B CDL Drivers License (Required)

Nutrition Services Director

The Nutrition Services Director employed by the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is responsible for developing and implementing nutrition and life skills curriculum for school aged children and food insecure clients in the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank’s 12-county service area. The Nutrition Services Director works to develop partnerships with Wichita Falls Area Food Bank’s partner agencies and programs as well as community organizations, as needed, to offer nutrition services to staff, volunteers, and clients. The Nutrition Services Director works with Wichita Falls Area Food Bank staff to provide support and nutrition guidance to programs and services offered by Wichita Falls Area Food Bank with a goal to increase healthier foods distributed through the food bank.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or equivalent in dietetics, nutrition, community health, or related field, and/or the culinary arts. Additional education may be substituted for experience, and educational qualifications may be waived depending on work history.

  • Certified as a Registered Dietitian preferred.

  • Experience with program planning management and evaluation.

  • Experience working with and training volunteers.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with persons of diverse social-economic and educational backgrounds.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, ability to handle interruptions, maintain focus, meet deadlines, and produce accurate work.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and standard office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to make presentations and develop reports that may include technical information.

  • Strong problem organizational and solving skills.

  • Knowledge of food assistance programs, hunger issues, and/or experience with social service agencies preferred.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.

  • Safe driving record, current vehicle insurance and ability to use a personal vehicle for WFAFB business. (Mileage reimbursement for work travel)

  • Ability to be certified in First Aid and Food Handling.

  • Must be able to pass criminal background check.
