
As the Nutrition Services Director, Megan is responsible for leading the Nutrition Education Department at the Food Bank. She is passionate about teaching realistic nutrition skills to neighbors experiencing hunger. Her programming focuses on setting goals, sharing recipes, and creating nutritious meals using food that is distributed by the Food Bank and its partners.
Megan brings a unique blend of culinary expertise, healthcare experience, and nutrition coaching to her role. After attending culinary school, she managed special diets at a boarding school, ensuring that students with dietary restrictions had access to healthy and delicious meal options, and later returned to the Wichita Falls Area and worked in the medical field. This role is where she recognized the significant impact that nutrition has on health and inspired her to focus on community nutrition to work with individuals and help them achieve their health and nutrition goals.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Governors University and has a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Midwestern State University. Additionally, she has certifications in Holistic Nutrition and Holistic Health Coaching from the American Fitness Professionals and Associates and attended culinary school at Culinard Culinary School. She is currently advancing her professional studies and has returned to Western Governors University to pursue a Master of Science.
