Melinda is resilient. She cares for her four kids and her parents who live with her, all while managing her own health problems.

Thanks to friends like you, Melinda can ensure that her kids have the wholesome meals needed to grow, and her entire family has the nourishment needed to thrive this summer.

That’s because Melinda can visit a Wichita Falls Area Food Bank mobile food pantry to pick up fresh produce, healthy proteins, and other nutritious staples to help supplement her grocery bill.

“It means a lot to me,” Melinda shares. “The extra food has been beneficial for me — especially with my kids going through high school... [and having] extra mouths to feed.”

Melinda says her parents rely on fixed Social Security retirement income. Though Melinda had a career before, she can no longer work due to her chronic health problems. That’s why she’s especially grateful for your generosity.

In fact, Melinda even noted that she appreciates that she can remain in her car while receiving food, which ultimately helps her reduce the number of challenges she needs to overcome to provide nutritious food for her family.

Thank you for providing access to nourishing food for families like Melinda’s. You’re helping countless neighbors lead healthier, happier lives this summer and beyond.
